Frequently Asked Questions

If you have any questions that are not answered below, please do get in touch.

  • We recruit people to take part in paid market research for the medical device industry.

  • The studies are not clinical trials, there is never any medicine involved, you are paid for your time and opinions.

  • Anyone! Adults with health conditions, adults without health conditions, children, carers, doctors, nurses, pharmacists, literally everyone!

  • Most of the interviews last approximately 60 minutes, but they can last anything up to a whole day.

  • Each year about 400 people die or are seriously injured in incidents involving medical devices and the research our clients do is helping to ensure safe use, as well as making them easier for patients and healthcare professionals to use.

  • If you are taking part as someone who is not medically trained, you can expect to receive £60-80 per hour. All studies differ according to the length of interview and whether you are patient or a healthcare professional.

  • There isn’t one! The FDA and MHRA require that all medical devices and instructions for use are developed with the user in mind and need to be tested to make sure they are safe and easy to use.

  • No, absolutely not! You are only ever asked to simulate using devices, you will not be required to take any medication or inject yourself. There is no risk to your safety.

  • No! It is the device or instruction leaflet that is being tested, not you. There are no right or wrong answers!
